Vanguard Ranch is located on 94 rolling acres in Louisa county central Virginia. We are a family owned and operated farm committed to sustainable and organic agricultural practices. At the core of our operation is our commercial meat goat herd. The goats produce a great natural fertilizer as they browse and assist us in keeping the land open. We produce a line of natural gourmet goat meat products and raise a variety of organic heirloom vegetables and herbs in our high tunnel, solar greenhouse and fields. We are a diversified farm committed to producing the highest quality farm fresh natural foods available anywhere! We support the buy local movement and are producer partners in THE LOCAL FOOD HUB based in Charlottesville, Virginia. 
 We choose agrarianism as a lifestyle choice. Sure its work, good honest work with nature as your constant companion and the creator as your boss. We are stewards of the land blessed with the opportunity to  work the land and leave it better than we found it!
